Getting the "I" out of your eyeHave you ever come across anyone who is a fan of their own? Whose agenda is always revolving around their own. Where the word 'others' can't simply be found in their day-to-day word search. Argh! Can't stand! Self-centered they are. How do we know whether we are self-centered? Don't be shock! The easiest to gauge is... is your face the first thing you search for when you see your photos? Does how the people around you look matter at all? If your friends don't look great in that photo with you, will you still hold on to that photo thinking it is a great shot?
1 Corinthians 13:5 Love is not self-seeking. Love does not demand it's own way.
Philippians 2:3-4 'Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit...'
Selfishness is an obsession with self that excludes others, hurting everyone.
Love builds up relationship, selfishness erodes relationships.
How many times have I acted as if I'm the most important person on earth. Where everything is about me, myself and I. That's not the way to go. You placed me here to love. Forgive me, Jesus, I receive Your love.
