Standing out from the crowd
... usually if you play every note of every song you lose the uniqueness of your 'voice' and become so much chatter, part of the mundance sound. However, if you restrain yourself, playing 'good' notes, at the right time, you will be the spice that makes the overall flavour of the song delicoius.
